Hi,
Spent most of yesterday stripping the old brakes from the cinq and fitting the shiny red calipers only to find the new discs I had ordered were too thick, could only get one pad in for the photo, the disc was 11.4mm thick, although the old one was only about 9mm thick.....I had even painted the non contact areas of the disc.......... :(
Anyone know the correct disc thickness for a cinq...?

Thanks
Paul T

11mm is normal for a cinq.
Maybe you need to press the brakepiston a little futher to the inside.

Otherwise there are car company's that can make it thinner by sanding the disc on a machine.

Good luck

Hi,
Piston was hard back, could just get the other pad in and close the caliper(with excess force), but disc was binding...

Thanks

Hi,
Just found out that the pads had too much anti-squeel compound/sticky pad on the back of the pad, and the disc is slightly over size, 11.4mm instead of 11mm, will take tha anti-squeel off and all should now fit :) :)

Thanks
