Anyone used one?

I can't be bothered to buy and induction kit and sort out insurance for it as it's high enough already, but i was wondering if those "High Performance" filters that you just change for the stock one make a difference...

I took the filter out completely today and my Sei is so much better, makes a wicked noise and feels a little quicker. I'd be happy if i had this, but with some sort of filter to stop all that bad shizzle going in the engine.

Replacement aftermarket panel filters such as k&n and green are an ok way to go if you dont wanna go full induction!! They will help you rev little freer and give you better mpg too! I had a K&n panel on my old cinq and it helped but then i went full induction and never looked back ;)

i had a k&n panel filter on my cinq before cda abd it was ok, i had drilled box aswell, made a slight improvement but wasnt anything to sing about.

I have a K&N panel filter which will be up for grabs when I get my induction kit from Yanninya - drop me a line if interested. (off on hoiliday now for 2 weeks)
Here's a pic of my modified housing - seems to work OK

i've got a filter cone at the moment, original filter is cut around the seal and the cone sits just off the airbox.

it might sound ok, but my fuel consumption at the moment resembles that of a 10 tonne tank

Speak to your insurance whether they really increase your premium. Most of the insurances did not punish for using the F1i as it claims only 5% improvement, which they allow for.

I checked out my insurance, and it only goes up £30 or so with the full induction, so I think i'm gonna go for that. Now just gotta decide which one to get...
