hello has anybody successfully put a 1.2 16 valve in a seicento mpi and if so what ecu was used? i can only find it been done with the spi

In the guides you'll finf J333EVO and foxyemz stuff on the 1.4 16v variously into a Cinq and a Sei. The Cinq (which they still have) used a Canems ECU, the Sei an Emerald.
Kristian (Kripit) used a Megasquirt.
I'm not going to tell you it's impossible with the stock ECU, but it'll be a bugger to get it running right. A decent piggy back -- see Honeymonster's thread) like the DET3 or DOY Megasquirt is probably the best way to go.

Just had a read of Kritip's 1.2 16v thread and it looks like he had it running fine on the 1.1 ecu just with a couple of errant codes popping up.

thanks for the replies i was thinking of using the ecu off a punto 16 valve but does the electric steering read load from the engine or is it simply a motor that requires a feed, and with the speedo being electronic pick up would it have to go through the punto ecu and would it give me a incorrect reading?
Sei EPS uses the speed sensor (on the gearbox), so that should be OK.
You may need the codebox off the Punto as well as the ECU.
