There is a large gap over the door lock and I want to move the strip rearwards so it covers that area.

I tried but only made a mess and it's didn't budge.

Is is a window out job?

Is there a guide already written?

Thanks.

Thanks for your replies :)

It is broken.

I've had years of aggro with that lock. The water gets into it and in winter it freezes it won't operate.

The passenger side is fully back to the window frame and has not done it and I've had to use that side too often each winter to get into the car. But last year the drivers door would not shut once opened, so no car. It's no more than scrap metal with faults like that.

So, move the rubber back, ameliorate, at least, the fault. Maybe.

On another thread the other years someone mentioned that the rubbers shorten over time and they bought new ones.
