Hi all just wondering if there us anywhere to buy a ss exhaust header for a 1.1 mpi schuey. If not is there anyone here that can fabricate one, also would there be any benefit?

Thanks
Lewis

The SuperSprint ones fit. John Ashley may now be in a position to make a cheaper version (after a lot of tries!).

Still, on an MPI car you'll need to cobble together a CAT and a thread for the second lambda sensor. Many years ago J333EVO suggested that the CAT from a Rover KV6 was about the right size, and should flow better than the SPI cat. They're dam,n cheap as CATs go, too.

Im looking at getting a full powerflow system with ss cat just need a header

How loud is the cybox system as i was looking at 2 silencers in the powerflow one

Powerflow is a franchise & does have a rather patchy reputation. Some of their agents do a good job, but some of them....!!!
Think they normally do 2" systems & that's too big, 1.75" is the optimum size for your engine.

I would go with Blu's recommendation, or buy a supersprint -they're well respected.

Most MOT testers won't bother about the fact that you have fitted a separate cat, but just to warn you -technically your car can be failed on future MOT's as all 2001 on Seicentos are supposed to have a manicat.
You can get a 1.2 8v Punto Stainless manicat which will fit (the Punto lump is 10mm taller than the Sei 1.1 engine).

I just worked out the two = twin exhaust thing.

Well, it ain't my kettle of custard, but think through that you'll need a one off rear bumper if you're going to get the hole for the exhaust to match.

To my mind, there are better things to spend time/money on, but it's not my car.

Not twin exit just 2 silencers in one system instead of the usual straight through to the backbox. Also will that punto manifold definatly fit a 1.1 mpi schuey?

That manicat stainless thingymabob up there probably wont fit the cento bay, the aftermarket ones don't tend to have a sharp enough bend from the flange on the head so don't give enough clearance to the radiator. Then the cat part is even fatter than that.

Blast! someone noticed my error, I couldn't be bothered to get out of bed & edit the post when i realised.
Damn you, you eagle eyed so & so :p:p:D
Should have put it 'can be made to fit'. (It's only an interim measure but my exhaust is currently 1/3rd Seicento, 1/3rd Punto, & 1/3rd Classic Mini , anythings possible with time & effort -especially when the MOT looms).
sleeka: fitting a Punto manicat won't guarantee you won't fall foul of MOT regs as the manicat needs to be 'type approved' & this one isn't. It's just more likely not to be so objectionable to a tester.
