I bought a 2002 sei the other day for £1000. It's got 31000 miles on the clock and it the best condition one I've ever seen in and out. However I'm out to improve/preserve this.

What have you guys used to paint the rear beam and arms with? Also I will be fitting polybushes while it's all off. Any opinions on powerflex?

Thanks
Josh

I'm currently finishing off shot blasting and painting my rear arms with hammerite. The whole rear beam is too big to fit in our shot blaster so I've been using a combination of wire brush, hammer and a wire cup in an air drill. Won't be as good as shot blasting but it's getting most of the rust and crud off.

Simoniz do a paint called Extra Tough which is good, I used it on my front calipers but you'll need to make sure the surface is rust free unlike the Hammerite. You can buy it from Euro Car Parts.
