Hi all,

In relation to the thread title, I searched the forum first and read several links to braces and ABS, but not in relation to a combination of the two. I've also had a trawl through the 'net ( ) but cannot confirm the correct item or its suitablility.

Anyway, I've emailed strutbraceruk a couple of times without reply, but wondered if anyone else has fitted an OMP brace on an MPI (Jan02) with ABS and if so, did it go on without having to mod anything (especially the ABS pipes)? I read a few comments regarding being tight-up on the battery, but looking at the postings and photo's, looks like that can be overcome.

Also, if you have fitted one to same year as mine, do you know if I want the straight brace or the one with the 'curve/offset' before the adjuster?

It's the curly one you want. I'm a Schuey owner too and will be getting mine from that Ebay shop Strutbracer (??).

Yeah. Forum member JR has one on his 01 Sei and it fitted straight on, no mods required anywhere.

I've just been on the StrutbracerUK website and discovered its cheaper than the ebay prices as the postage is inclusive, so save approx £5.

I've had to email (no phone number) them again though as whilst trying to buy, although I click against the correct item, the paypal button on the website tells me I'm about to pay for and order the Lower brace. :bang: No thanks!

Hopefully get early reply and get sorted and delivered this week so I can get this and my lowering springs fitted pronto.

Brace arrived today! Phoarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Offered it up to check out the route and with the possible exception of maybe a little modification (oh, alright "bend" ) to the ABS guardplate it looks like it will fit a treat.

Not sure how soon I will get it fitted, but lowering springs have also arrived, so they, the brace and the 4" stainless will all be whispering "fit me" when ever I go into the garage, so it might, just might be PDQ!

check his gallery seem to remember a pic being posted

I was hoping for someone to post pix of the MPi version fitted to an MPi, Rich has the standard version which takes more effort to fit by the looks of it.

I'll just have to see how fitting it goes when the one I ordered arrived (unless someone else out there can help?)

Im gathering you saw this thread, includes what an MPI strut brace by OMP will look like althought not fitted.

You could always be the first MPI to post pics and let us know how it goes

Maybe Strutbracer will update their site someday, as I have now taken delivery of a LOWER STRUTBRACE & not the MPI Upper Strutbrace I ORDERED!!!

They have agreed to take it back after ignoring my Email & I had to threaten them with trading standards through PayPal!!! :-/

The following thread has detals on the MPi Strutbrace which FINALLY turned up, IS worth fitting but doing so is a pain in the ass (not really A skilled job, just a bit of effort).
