Hello

I Jota from Portugal and I have a wiring question, anyone can tell me how I can conect the wiring from 1.2 16v punto (1998) to my original (interior) wiring (seicento 1.1 spi)

cheers :)

Unfortunately they are not :(. Would be good to see how this one turns out.

Well, same ECU, same TB, same master relay, same Map sensor, etc. etc. as Cinq Sporting. No idea where you get 3 SPI versions from: I think there's only one, well documented in the Seicento Technical Manual.

The biggest problem is probably finding a decent wiring diagram of the Cinq for comparison.

If the 16v is a Mk1 it shouldn't be that difficult, but the Mk2 is canbus, which will probably present horrible issues.

Connection wise I think you are right, but the physical layout might be different. For example, the location of fuses or relays. Plus there is a version with aircon. Anyhow, I once bought an SPI Sei loom for spares and it wasn't exactly the same as the Cinq loom.

EDIT: Oh, and some tiny details like the totally different location of the charcoal canister valve on a Sei...

Strangely, that's -- I think -- the only improvement! ;)

Indeed, this and the front gearbox mount moved to the side makes the Sei a so much better car to put interesting things in front of the engine, like turbos, intercoolers, oilcoolers and what not :D

Hello guys
Thank you all for helping me my seicento I think it has the same wiring as a cinquecento sport, I would put the Punto mk1 engine and wiring my only dificulty is how i conect the engine wiring to the original wiring of my car.

I Know that would be many nights in clear study the wiring

For the most part the engine loom unplugs from everything else. So, if you can get hold of a Mk1 engine side wiring diagram and a Sei (in car) wiring diagram (the Sei one is in the Seicento Technical Manual in the Downloads section), label the wires, and you'll get there in the end. ;)

I spent the best part of a day just labelling the loom for my Canems ECU. Take it slow, test everything, use connector blocks if you like before eventually soldering and heat shrinking, etc.

Thanks for the advice :D fingers (y)

with time I would label every wire but for now the engine is in preparation first with a few mods :)
