hi all, prolly a silly ? but i had a new clutch and cable fitted ( oem fiat cable and valeo clutch )
around 100-150 miles ago and i think the cable might need a tiny adjustment as the clutch is a wee bit stiffer than it was when i first picked the car up.

so i guess that perhaps a 1/4 turn clock wise will soften things up ? or is it turn anti clockwise

i guess its normal for a wee tweek after the new cable stretches /beds in ?

must admit car can still occasionally be not as smooth to select 1st gear ( you gotta through it into gear when cold with a bit of force and wiggle ( if that makes sense ) i guess again this is due to cold oil ? rather than a worn selector/bush .....the joys of Seicentos...great cars but there never quiet perfect but hey ho always another job to do after you do one job

Yeah its normal to be messing with the clutch/clutch cable after 100-150 miles...even replacing it in some instances

The clutch linings bed in a lot like brake linings on pads or shoes. The cable outer might settle in a bit making the inner more slack...

I adjust hand brake on shoe replacement only after a drive to local village and back normal when autos had drums all round with manual adjusters. The good auto shops asked for it back after a few days commute to tweak adjusters...

The bread, milk and coal delivery people had horsies...

The Sei clutch should be feather light though.
