Hi guys,
Could anyone tell me if a 900cc cinquecento will accept a 1.2 8v swap also with the punto gearbox ?
Is it as simple as swapping to a 1.1 sporting cinquecento ?

Engine mounts, parts needed etc...

I'll might be on the way to get my second Giannini if yes...

Can be done but a bigger job than starting with the 1.1.

You need the 1108 Sporting driveshafts (Sei or Cinq), gearbox cables, cups, reversing switch connector.

Thats it ? So the 900cc + the 1.2 8v engine + all that list and its good to go ?

There are lots of other bits like header tank, coolant/fuel hoses, exhaust, Ecu and possibly wiring loom.

No wiring loom, use the 899 loom and extend the plugs to reach the tb.

both me and ming have had 899 running 1.2 8vs ,

buy the 1.2 8v with gbox ,

to get the 899 loom working on the 1.2 , think you need to extend the oil pressure sender wire , and the Tps sender ( ycming will confirm)

ECU too, I think, although you could chip the 899 one.

I ran my 1.2 on the 899 ecu ,. it just had no rev limmeter , and prob less fueling , but never ran it long enough

I have also converted my 899 and it's not too bad of a job. Yes you need quite a few parts from a sporting but the engine will run on the 899 ECU and by extending the 899 wiring loom in a couple of places.

It's a pretty simple swap

Other than what others have suggested you also need the engine mounts off a sporting. The parts that bolt to the chassis legs.

I ran mine for a couple of days with an 899 ecu. Didn't notice any difference to using a sporting one but probably was under fuelling a little

Take loads of pictures and do a guide. People (myself included) will always want to know what's needed to change it and would be great to have it in one thread. I meant to do one myself but time pressures meant I had to get it done quickly and didn't have chance to take photos.

The wiring changes are obvious once the engine is in place. If you're lucky your 899 will have a removable engine loom like the sportings, then you can just swap them over. I did an engine swap in an sx years ago where that was the case.

Can I use engine mounts from seicento 1.1? and driveshaft ?

You'll need the 1108 Box and matching shafts. Some Seis use the wet box, early ones used the dry Cinq box.

You'll need the gear cables too.
