Hi all
apologies for the probable FAQ, bit of a novice here...

I have a Seicento SX (is that right? 1.1 engine, 2001 anyway) which used to belong to my late father, with 155/65 R13 tyres on Steel rims.

I have access to a set of Fiat Seicento Alloys with 165/55 R13 tyres on it and I am thinking of swapping these over.

Will I need to fit these spacers I keep reading about on the front tyres?

Thanks for any advice.

Cheers

you will need different bolts if you did not get the bolts that were used with the wheels.

but you will need to keep four for the spare

Think Fiat suggest desirable to drop
the suspension for the wider tyres.

Don't know what Id do about ins broker given they are OEM.

Hi there
thanks for the pointers. I have the bolts from the new wheels ... but they seem to be exactly the same as the ones for the steel rims(?!).

Now, a followup question just to show how naive I am ... is it possible to swap tyres between rims? ie. could I take the 155/65 R13 tyres from my old steel rims and have them fitted onto my alloys? I understand that new valves would probably be required ... what would be the ballpark cost of doing this?

Thanks a lot

The taper (I.e. angle of) the mating face needs to match the alloys conical seats. Check the bolts are exactly the same .

You should not need spacers and should clear the arches easily.

Rubber wear for the OEM alloys is expensive it is just bling to fit them.

You need security bolts as well.
