Technical Do I have ABS?

how do i tell if my sei sporting has abs? (without throwing the anchor out the window at high speed)


iv gone and ordered a front bearing, for an abs sei. If i dont have ABS, will it still go on my sei fine, or do i NEED the non abs bearing?

...im hoping i just wasted some money :bang:

On startup you should have an abs warning light light up before disappearing after a few seconds

Alternatively, it'll have a great big wart thing next to the master cylinder.

The ABS ones are much more expensive than non-ABS, so, if you've not got ABS (generally the lack of ABS on a Cento is considered a good thing), take/send it back and swap it.

All of the above or go out, accelerate to 30ish on a quiet road and slam on the brakes,
lots of squealing/loss of steering = No ABS
Weird feel through the brake pedal and intermittent squealing = ABS

All new vehicles from mid 2004 had ABS as standard. Before that it was an option. Most expensive cars already had it as standard, but the cheaper ones did not. Very few owners were willing to pay extra, so unless yours is mid/late 04 or later, unlikely to have it.

There were no sportings made in 2004 and the seicento model was stopped in the UK in 2004 so ABS present unless a schumacher model are slim

mine in not a schumy and has abs but it is very rare for a non-schumy to have it...

ignoring all the random turbo and non stock bits in my bay, see the abs pump and fluid reservoir circled in the attached pic, if you have that you have abs, if not you don't.
