Hi all i was wondering if someone on this forum would help i'm wrking on a seicento she's a 1.1 the thing is i had to change the altenator which was grand when i tried to start it it's jst turning over and not starting would anyone know why i have changed the spark plugs and still no joy in starting

if you removed the pulley for thr alternator on the crankshaft it needs to back with the index pin in the correct position it will go back ok 120 or 240 degrees out but the spark will be 120 or 240 degrees out.
 
Ya i have plugged in the altenator and reconnected the battery
 
you have to take it off to get the belt out (or remove the tdc sensor, but i'd not do it that way unless i was changing the sensor at same time).

My money is on the bottom pulley not on the right way round. Look carefully and there is a small nipple that needs to be located in a tiny hole on the pulley - the nipple can be snapped off (is on my car) but its obvious where is was.
