Bought back Black Betty today, I sold it February last year - it has since had 4 owners - sure you have all seen some threads about her over the last year..

Well she's come back home, she is quite dirty and a little bit rougher than when she left but fair play to Mikey, she running really sweet. She didn't pass her MOT today though - just a few little bits, one headlight is all corroded inside, split ball joint boot and the hand brake sticking on drivers side. All is in hand, new parts ordered and on their way.

Here she is back in her corner next to her old friend :)

So within the next 10 days she will be have the little jobs done and a good wash and polish and a fresh 12 months ticket. (y)

Feels good to own a cinq again!

lol, the alfa doesn't have a tow bar!! that would be sacrilege, even more sacrilege than the fact its diesel.

I have thought about buying a car transporter before but if i had one of them i'd have no room for cars lol.

edit: on another note, just got home and there is a new wishbone here - headlight it meant to arrive tomorrow - so all things being equal she should be ready for retest by end of the weekend, although i can't touch it saturday as we are having a fancy dress party at mine and i need to fix a corsa :yuck: on sunday before i can mess with my own car. And weekend after that i'm booked to do big service on Freebo 's cinq so time is proper tight!! But saying that the retest has to be before Friday or she'll need a full retest rather than partial.

Got new headlight and wishbone sat ready to go on the car, i will just clean & free up the handbrake levers, i checked already and thats all that making the rear wheel stick (as usual, every year!!). I have just remembered its a bank holiday this coming Monday so that's my day to sort Betty and re-book MOT.
