And it's not bad at stopping lol

Performance is ok, it's the SX gearbox that I think is the main issue... But does mean I can cruse at 100mph @ 4300rpm and still drop to 4th at that speed....

Was really interesting to see this at the meet the other day, very tidy conversion. Nice job, I like it a lot!

Totally didn't click about the Grumpy Cat at the time, but that's AMAZING

cheers fella, good to meet you too. I just need to tidy a few wires now and then sort the oil breather - there is a pipe on it that looks like it should be there but if you follow it atm it just goes down behind the rad and stops. Will probably make a induction kit of sorts and plumb it into the intake, or to a catch tank and then to the intake, undecided..

You shall have to bring your saab out at some point, love a gander at that ;)

Cheers! I'm hoping to get it up and running over the next few weeks...

That sounds like a good plan - they can have a lot of oil going through them I think?

Catch tank would be rather snazzy :)

so Betty is back in service.

But this morning both rear springs snapped in same journey  So finally fitted the new FK rear springs and shocks. Also trimmed the bump stops a little - not sure it was entirely essential but i would have been annoyed if i had to get them out and trim them after so just did it anyway.

So here is the suspension that came out, and the trimmed off bits of bump stop

Also, the joys of being pretty damn low, hit the bottom hard enough to dent the downpipe good and proper, it snapped a stud that hold the downpipe to the manifold and opened up the join so most of the exhaust gases weren't making it down the exhaust to the rear and it sounded like it was farting  So shot over to Kidderminster to see Simon who has been breaking a 16v cinq to pick up my bits i ordered and beg and plead for the manifold and downpipe, a deal was struck and we set about swapping that over too - no pics as was really in a hurry to get there, fix it and get back home in time to pick up the mrs from work (which i managed with about 2 mins to spare).

Few more bits need doing, washer pumps stopped working but i have 12v going to them so got a replacement off Simon today in Kidderminster, also got new windscreen to go in as have cracked mine (again, joys of being too low for the roads round here i think) and there was a few other things - i'll post as this stuff eventually gets fitted.
