rocket cover seal

hi

just wanted to know, i fitted a new rocket cover seal, the old one just burnt away ! after i resealed it i still get a little drip of oil on the corner of the rocket cover which inturn is slowly dripping down the engine... just wanted to know... can i get a seal type of stuff that i can use with the new seal to seal the cover better...? any help would be good!

Re: rocket cover seal

Some hlyomar or instant gasket will seal that up, some over the cam lobes either side will do the trick.

Re: rocket cover seal

You could file down the four little feet on the actual Cam Cover, giving you a better seal all round.
