Hiya...

Has anyone had dealings or problems with carparts-tuning.co.uk?

I bought a set of coilovers for my sei on the 18th of december and have yet to receive anything!!...

They are apparently dealers for FK, and the kit was a FK Highsport kit for just under £300..

I paid with credit card so i could be charge back protected... However its not the point really!!

I had an email from them saying i can track my order online using a german DHL tracking site... Which has never updated......

I rang DHL UK customer services, and they have no bloody clue where my order is or how to track it, as i need to know which DHL service it was sent by.... Which had me slightly annoyed as im sure it should pass through some UK depot of theirs....

Anyhow, been emailing the company several times over the last week, with no reply...

Has anyone else had any good or bad issues with these>?

I kind of hate to say it, but that website looks like a massive fake to me.

For example, why have a .co.uk site but with a +49 telephone number? If they're authorised dealers then the website would be in proper english, not broken english which is just German stuck through google translate. I think you've been scammed fella :(

Edit: Also, the address that the website is registered to is a hotel

If you look up the address on google maps, the satellite view actually shows the FK warehouse in Germany, address is "Kuchengrund 10 D-71522 Backnang". I also know some on a Seat forum have bought parts from them without problem. I was planning on buying some parts from them myself.

i bought spacers from there, it really is the uk website for FK. My spacers came in about 7-10 days from date of order and i paid via paypal. Can't remember what company they used to deliver though and had no reason to try and contact them so can't comment there.

How long ago did you place your order?

edit: Just checked my emails, all the emails cam from address' with @fk-automotive.de at end. And it was 9 days between order and dispatch, it came just a day or 2 after that i'm sure.

The broken english is a little bit of a worry but the actual website appears ok

If they were out to scam people intentionally then they would not have put so much effort into the website

It looks to me like a legitimate german company just trying to reach a UK audience but haven't put in as much effort as they could have.

They are using a proffesional shopping cart, I cant see what payment gateway they are using though (i'd take a guess at a white box version of the universal payment gateway). This is usually a good sign

However the phone number is also worrying and the fact they are not responding to your emails is just not on.

If you really want a response from them threaten them with a report to trading standards, that usually gets companies to get thier act together.(for you at least). As they are a german company though i'm not sure what the procedure would be. Probably contact UK trading standards and report the UK website (only threaten to do this though, you may be an isolated case, if you find research that suggests otherwise then go down this route)

Do still get a chargeback but just one chargeback from one customer is usually not enough for company to get their act together.

However thats just my two cents

They have, without doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If your stuff turns up, great. If it doesn't Paypal had no hesitation in refunding me, hopefully your credit card company will do the same. I have written about my experience with them before somewhere, I'm not writting it all out again. To sum it up though, it was a long winded excersise in which they made several underhand atempts to get me to cancel my Paypal case. If I had I would have been left item less and out of pocket. I had ordered from before with no issues and stuff had turned up in under a week. They are completely hit and miss which is why you will hear of mixed experiences on here.

No issues ordering FK sports kit for the punto...I can't recall the website, but that as stated that is just a UK looking front end for FK in DE.

I don't remember how long mine took, about 7 working days I think....probably a few delays over xmas, but give them an email or call and I'm sure it'll be sorted out :)

Hmm well I ordered on the 18th of December... So a month today... And still nothing!! No reply to any emails even though the website states a 48hour email turn around.

I've looked on the fk account (which I set up afterwards to see if that shown anything) and on there it says its a closed delivered order.

Dhl have no idea where the item is or how to trace it, and this is the only link I have... It's been stating its being delivered today, everyday from around the 9th of jan. I'm concerned this could be a spoof dhl screen as the uk can't track it...

May not work as I'm linking from my mobile and its using the mobile

Hiya.. dont suppose you got a reply?

Ive not had a reply to any of my 5 emails.... and i cant get through on their +497191/3275180 number (from the sites main page)....

Sure this has to be a scam of some sort?

Think il try the number that was posted on here, tomorrow
