Hi all was thinking of doing a 1.2 16v engine conversion on my seicento sporting, I was just wondering if the engine will drop straight in with the standard 1.1 loom and if there is anything I should upgrade aswell as the engine and brakes?

The guides says it all you need

Engine, incl ancileries inlet
Box
16v ecu
Mk1 punto engine loom
Lots of other small bits and pieces
A nice tight exhaust mani
I would also upgrade suspension and yes brakes needs to be good also think about wheels and tyres cheap tyres will land you nicely in a ditch, hedge etc

the standard exhaust mani from the mk1 punto 1.2 16v fits fine

Is the loom from Ypsilon 96-99 86hp the same as the punto MK1? I just found an 99 Ypsilon and I want to buy it complete for the swap so I wonder if the engine loom and gearbox linkage are identical with Punto MK1 or not.

On Lancia Y just about impossible to tell here -- never sold in UK. may be worth a try, though as likely to be a Punto underneath.
