I've had a search and I am not sure I can find what I'm looking for at the right price. Could someone please give me some links to some reputable sites to buy -

30/35mm lowering springs
Dampers to match
Replacement panel air filter
Performance exhausts that aren't too loud but sound nice, 4-2-1 manifold

I'm looking for a balance between quality and price, any recommendations?

I found an Eibach spring kit but at over £200 I felt that was too much.
Is the Apex springs and shocks kit for around £250 worth the money?

I don't really know where to look. Thanks in advance.

With suspension you usually get what you pay for. £200 does sound a little steep for Eibach springs, if you can't find any cheaper, I'd reduce the spend on the springs (there's usually something on eBay) and increase the spend on the dampers. Monroe reflex's are good if you're not going lower than 35mm.

But remember, if you were looking at something like a Spax kit, you'd be talking around £350. If you were looking at Tein, something like £900, if you were looking at Penske, what, £5000+?

There's not really any need to go nuts. Imola Blue ran -35 Eibachs and OE replacement Monroes, and they coped with 115bhp very well indeed. Arguably better than Spax's (never fir the Spax Cinq kit, only the Spax Sei kit) costing a lot more.

Some times, after market shortened dampers are a bit harsh when combined with stiffer lowering springs. I fitted new oem dampers with the old standard springs to my shuey and think it's quite a nice ride.
Most of the springs sold by after market companies are most likely produced in the same factory in Holland, so you will be paying for the name on them.

whats the difference between the spax kits cinq to sei fingers?? I got adjustable spax on my sei, quite like them myself but thats cause i'm old and like to be able to have it comfy as well as firm.

The Cinq ones are awefully stiff. Fine for flat tarmac, but will cause cracks in the B posts! Aaron described the Cinq (Blue 2) so fitted (he delivered it to Donna) as the harshest Cinq he'd ever driven. Sei ones are said to be much more compliant.
