My seicento makes grinding noise at low speed when turning and straight line when accelerating or braking. The noise comes from both sides! Can it be drive shaft or more likely something else?

First thing I'd check are the brakes and disks. Both sides pretty much rules out driveshafts.

Noises are really difficult to diagnose on the Internet (even with sound).

If you put where you live, someone might call by, whiz it round the block, give an opinion.

I'll check the brakes tomorrow then. I live in Portsmouth .It would be great to meet somebody because there are lots of problem with this car.Still like it thou!

Is there any way to test the drive shafts ? I mean like you can test clutch.?

Not really. Generally the inners (I'm assuming Sporting) don't go, while the outer ones will make a sound like someone running a cane along iron railings if they're fubar.

Grinding more likely to be brakes or wheelbearing.
