You all keep talking about larger TB's that fit on the sporting and 1242's but surely these should fit on the 899cc motor as the mountings r identical?

If so can you tell me the largest I can get without resorting 2 having it bored out? 40mm sounds good but i cant afford to send it off 2 Tricker? And I live just down the road from a good breakers lol

I'm used to porting and polishing, so i'm not worried if I have 2 remove some metal 2 get maximum flow.

Well, the head design on the 899cc might not be that good for P+P.

Technically, you could shoehorn a 38mm bottom half from a Punto 75 on, but that needs some machining.

Most youre gonna get on with nil work is a 32mm from a Punto 60, but bugger knows how cleanly that'll go on an 899cc..

I took the "bob" from an 899cc cinq the other day. Having compared the tb to the one on my sporting they looked identical, just the 899 tb is on the opposite way round. so there might be gains to be had from punto 60tb (32mm).

I would be tempted just to have a go. Does your scrappy mark stuff up? I suppose then if it didn't fit you could always take it back.

hi, ive just recently fitted a 1.1 throttle body 2 my 899, all it took was 2 b turned around and bolted down, works like a treat

coz if so then a punto tb should improve things no end!

Are you sure they're not the same?

I have both cinq. 0.9 and 1.1 and they both have same size TB
I can't say if it's original this way but I know that it wasn't changed by me...

How big was the TB you took of the 0.9 ???

haynes manual says there the same! lol so guess i'll look for a punot tb.
Is it just the punto 60, or are there bigger standard tbs?
