Hi Guys

I came across this Seicento and wondered if anyone on the forum knows the history of it or has anybody been to see it. Basically I am thinking of buying the car and would like to know more about it. the seller has mentioned the selector bracket being broken and needing a new cable and bracket fitted.

I have seen this engine in the cento before so was hoping someone her can shed some light on what to watch out for.

Oh, heres the link:

Thanks

Have a look in the auction watch section, been up for sale many many times

cheers, I'll take a look and see if theres any more info on her.

Just my two pennyworth; If I was to buy a car at that price I would expect a 12 months MOT. Also, if I was to sell a car I would only offer it with a 12 months MOT. This only has 3 months which I consider to be a very bad sign.
And look into the insurance very carefully before you commit, I suspect it will be high!

Ian.

wow its changed since the last time it was up for sale, wasnt this the one with the in-take sticking through the bonnet???? and didnt it have a yellow bonnet last time???

this is almost as bad as the cinq pick-up thats on ebay every couple of months lol

so ...i've read the thread on the auction watch section and from what Ive read it seems to be bit of a slag with a shady history.

My thoughts were to strip the engine and put it into another sei I have and breaking the rest with hope to get the cost of purchase price back (or close).
Also am i right in saying it needs may need re wiring and possibly an aftermarket management system?

Whats good (i think) are the custom built manifolds etc for the Sei, which I can imagine would have cost a fair bit.

It wouldn't be the ideal engine for my sei, but could encourage me to do something with it as its been sitting for the best part of 5 years with intentions of an engine conversion.

The price is not whats shown in the ad, i would be looking to pay nothing more than £400, maybe less.

Not sure if its with the hassle, and leave my sei sitting for another 5 years until I get round to putting a t-jet engine. What do you think?

Thanks Mr
I figured it isn't a bolt on job but not sure how complex it would be.

It would be good to bring her to a decent standard but I think I will give it a miss.

Thanks for all you replies.
