I have had a leak in my boot on the drivers side of the car... is very small leak.. at first i thought it was the rear lights letting water in from the top, because i have replaced the bulbs before and noticed that the seal needed replacing. I resealed them and sealed the minor ventaltion holes in the boot... i thought problem solved...

but after a a hard days rain... i stll get water in the drivers side of the boot... ive checked the boot and can not see any thing wrong... :bang: and even checked the seals on the hatch and they are not letting drips of water in...

what the hell can it be.......? any thought on this matter will be great..

cheers

There are definately no gaps in the rubber seals, or a slight misfit?

nope! thats the mad part! its strange... only on driverside... and its a small leak... it takes 3 - 4 days of rain i pressume before i see water buildup... :bang:

Make sure the rear lights are on perfectly, even slightly off will cause leaks.

As said before on mumerous threads, apply talc to the inside of the boot then hose down from the outside to pinpoint the leak or if you've no talc, get rid of the parcel shelf and put the rear seat down and ask a mate to watch for you, should become clear very soon where the leak is.

thanks for your suggestions guys.. i will try the talc method first.. sounds sad but i hope it rains.. lol

;)

lol, i do.... have a hose... i will let nature take its course... lol. it could be from the boot bottom...

ummm odd... i can see that on the driverside boot there is 2 rubber bits.. i removed one that is shaped like a retangle and it seems dry... and the other one which is round, seems a bit damp... i did not remove it could that be the cause?
