Hi
New member, doing a project with son on 1997 Cinquecento 1.1 sporting.

The hot air intake hose (rises vertically out of top of exhaust manifold collector box) is split.

Reading posts on here it seems it isnt important, do i just wrap some tape around it and leave it?

Is it really that unimportant?

Many thanks in advance

Lol, thanks for feedback!

What do people think about the air filter kits? Look good but are they worth it and are there any MOT implications?

Also why cant i get the spark plugs out! Assume 14mm but i cant seem to get spanner around them! Do i need a very thin 14mm spanner!

Regards

Nelly

My sei hose looks like its been through a mangle. My local car spares shop sells then for £5. Have seen them online too. A nice new silver one would look sexy but I'm not sure of the implications of having one against not having one.

Only if you get one which doesn't have a take off for the crankcase breather. Don't expect much extra thrust.

Eh? The thread is 14mm. My socket set describes the correct spark plug socket (do not use "ordinary" sockets) as 16mm. Spark plug spanner?

Most people just hurl it in the bin. It may marginally affect fuelling on warm up, but.........

I think the issue is a lot of crap and gunk around spark plugs blocking the spanner getting a grip. Will have a play later if it stops raining

Thanks for help

Doubt it. Buy a set of spark plugs and try your tool on them. (Apologies to zzz who will be looking that up in his Haynes Sex Manual)

Hehe thanks fingers (y):D.

I use the spark plug tool with the handle for getting mine out 16mm the nut is.

One tip is to use blu tac squashed inside the tool for lifting out the plug once it's been
undone, then use some more to lift it back off the inside of the tool for putting your new plugs in.(y)

in one of my cinqs the plugs were that tight that when undoing them so just put some normal engine oil round the bases and let it soak overnight then they just popped out nicely(y)use the proper spark plug socket with extension bar and decent ratchet and they will come out!!!!
