I was at Castle Combe yesterday with Jamie and we spotted 3 Cinq's 1 which is def on here as its used on the guys threads, he also had a camera set up which would be good to see the film. :D

After much heeing & hawing I eventually went out at 4.15pm as I had the integrale with me and had no intentions of going out in it due to it wearing expensive AZEV's and tyres. I would normally have stuck the old wheels/tyres on re-set pressures, turned up the Koni's to a harder setting from the normal softest setting etc but thought why not plus Jamie's friends had decided they were going out in their Corsa SRi.

So after an annoying 1st lap where I was taking it easy to warm everything up tyres, gearbox/diff oils and having prats blatantly over & undertaking in the areas you were strictly told not to in pre-brief I put the boot down and promptly dispatched with a 3 series BMW Porsche 944 Celica 205's stripped out track day cars as well as Jamie's mates Corsa with real ease, and this all in probably the most standard car out there apart from the 306 GTi6 which was no where to be seen as was the Boxster, Golf R32, Stripped out Nova & Mini which followed me out on to track, in fact of the 30 cars on there at any one time I remember very few, even tho my last 2 laps of 5 were driven at 75% due to the rather embarrassingly fact that I didn't have enough fuel so when on full chat on the straights it was cutting out, as I say it was a kind of impromptu going on, but good fun all the same. Jamie was meant to take a film of it but complained that he couldn't hold on and film, armatures ah? :bang:

Next time tho hope to have mine and Jamie's Cinq or even better Y10 Turbo out there to do battle in the under 1300cc class, lol.

I did a parade lap in mine> but didn't fancy doing battle with some of the people who were there in an all out session

Yeah yours was the car I recognised, you had someone in the passenger seat with you, we were going to come up and introduce ourselves but as we did you moved forward, liked the wheels on the Cinq in front of you, white Speedlines I think.

The sessions themselves were fairly harmless, as most peoples track etiquette was pretty good apart from a few that I mentioned overtaking on the first lap in places they shouldn't have, just wished I had a bit more thought into going out as I would have got more fuel, turned the shocks up and frightened a few others that were out there in their "tuned" cars with my standard engined car. Received a text this morning from Jamie who mentioned that the Pulsar/Sunny GTiR was running 330bhp 300lbs/torque yet couldn't keep up, LOL, then again where was that Sierra Cosworth as well, so many perceived good cars out there, that on a 1.81mile track were anonymous.

It would be good to try and get about 10 people to go to one of these days in the future and have our own little Cinq/Sei bash!

Yea that was my dad lol! you should have come over (y)

that sierra couldn't put any power down because it was so wet!

Oh yeah, your right OZ's, liked them lots.

I didn't here your car out on track cos I think after you headed out on the parade lap we headed off for some lunch (much needed as I was nursing a hangover) and to dry off as the rain was fairly heavy at that time. thankfully it stopped while we were eating so it was starting to dry a bit by the time I went out, tho according to the pre-brief guys there's more grip while raining as its washes the oil n stuff away whereas when its just starting to dry its very greasy, plus you get lulled into a false sense of security and go faster than the track allows, and thats why so many folk went off, think i counted about 4 at least!

Hi, yep join us at Clubcento then we can all hook up together, get half price track passes, free entry and free lunch.

I was in the flaming Cinq and had two great track sessions in, and went out wth my mate in 147GTA in the afternoon racing a Skyline.
