I was at Castle Combe yesterday with Jamie and we spotted 3 Cinq's 1 which is def on here as its used on the guys threads, he also had a camera set up which would be good to see the film.
After much heeing & hawing I eventually went out at 4.15pm as I had the integrale with me and had no intentions of going out in it due to it wearing expensive AZEV's and tyres. I would normally have stuck the old wheels/tyres on re-set pressures, turned up the Koni's to a harder setting from the normal softest setting etc but thought why not plus Jamie's friends had decided they were going out in their Corsa SRi.
So after an annoying 1st lap where I was taking it easy to warm everything up tyres, gearbox/diff oils and having prats blatantly over & undertaking in the areas you were strictly told not to in pre-brief I put the boot down and promptly dispatched with a 3 series BMW Porsche 944 Celica 205's stripped out track day cars as well as Jamie's mates Corsa with real ease, and this all in probably the most standard car out there apart from the 306 GTi6 which was no where to be seen as was the Boxster, Golf R32, Stripped out Nova & Mini which followed me out on to track, in fact of the 30 cars on there at any one time I remember very few, even tho my last 2 laps of 5 were driven at 75% due to the rather embarrassingly fact that I didn't have enough fuel so when on full chat on the straights it was cutting out, as I say it was a kind of impromptu going on, but good fun all the same. Jamie was meant to take a film of it but complained that he couldn't hold on and film, armatures ah? :bang:
Next time tho hope to have mine and Jamie's Cinq or even better Y10 Turbo out there to do battle in the under 1300cc class, lol.
Aaron.
