Technical Fiat key - 2nd generation

As you will know if you read me other thread i just bought a sei sport - but the st00pid mofo's at the garage somehow lost the spare key between me buying the car and picking it up.

they took it to the local fiat garage to get a new key coded - they cut they key but the code would not work!!!

so they're taking the car back to another fiat garage (jordans in hull) next week. Why would a different garage solve the problem the first garage had???

and I've been told as a last resort i can have one sent from italy (obviously said stupid mofo's are paying) is this actually possible to have a key sent from italy? and how much is it gonna set em back

when i asked about gettin a new key at my fiat dealer they said they were sen from italy, then coded by the garage into the ecu or something like that. 90quid was the figure i got.
so as you can imagine i walked back out and stuck to havin one key
must get one cut this year tho for safety lol
