i may be interested in getting one of these kits.

does anyone know if the price on passionmotorsport

http://www.passionmotorsport.co.uk/BMC6.htm for the seicento includes the bit to attach everything to the throttle body

also is the GSR F11i kit the same kind of thing?

http://www.gsrengineering.com/engineering/pages/products_frm.html
and if so does that come complete, ready to install or do i need any extra parts for that too?

cheers

hi m8,
the carbon type from CDA dosent come with the aluminium bit as a few members have found out too there expense, the one from GSR is the same, the only one I know of that comes complete with Plenum Chamber to sit on top is the F1i for around £100 I think, I have GSR one and there wiked lovley torque increase and lovelly sound too

hope that helps m8

like said previously the one in the pic doesnt include the bob to attach it to engine

the gsr one comes complete with everything to fit to engine at around the £200 mark

i thought BMC did a fitting kit

they do, its universal fitting adapters and most probably expensive, which puts it in the same price range as the gsr one

considering the cda cone itself is £160 might just be worth forking out for a complete gsr one which has a proved increase

unless you already have a bob and some hosing

I still haven't fitted my CDA mainly coz i haven't had time but imagine its gonna take some time to fit it to the bob i got from fiat. Its a shame i cant buy the silver bob thing from BMC so i could just connect it all up.

Although i got my BMC CDA for £75 so even adding the bob i got from fiat its still only £80.

Anyone know where I can get the piping needed to connect the CDA i have to the Bob i got from Fiat. It should look like this i think.

Also the bob i got from fiat doesn't have anywhere for me to connect the small pipe at the left hand side of the bob is this important.

that looks like the pipe you would get if purchasing the cda from gsr. the other pipe is the oil breather. you can either connect it to the bob, or add a little filter to it as seen in the picture at the start of the thead.

You get that pipe from GSR - but I don't know if they will sell it separatly...

Apparently they won't. Apparently GSR are only interested in Marketing "Engineering Solutions" which is interesting that they wont sell parts to eng. students...:) :s

It's funny how Dave's and Gaz's naming of the chamber "bob" has got wide recognition so quickly :D

how do you know 'arse'?
have you spoken to me or Peter?

all depends how nicely you ask - lol

our 'bob' is a special one - lets call it 'rob' and comes with a barbed fitting to connect the crankcase breather to

see - an engineered solution rather than a parts bin special

Well, I dont actually know, Rob.

My information's based on hearsay from members of Clubcento :).

I noticed that plenum mod, solves that problem nicely....Im not knocking the F1i or any of your products at all, its all very nice and its probably a darn sight better than anything I could hash up (purely based on my nil experience...), but thing is, as im sure youre well aware, there are many ways around the same problem.

yep true but the GSR kit is the best - happy to be proved wrong, in fact have purchased most of the alternatives to see what they are like, some are OK but most are pathetic - and thats not being biased, its as an engineer and consumer

in fact got a RAID kit for sale at the mo - £50 new boxed off eBay

Cool they sell the pipe separately thats great news.

I've got the BMC carbon CDA filter, all i need is the red pipe in the GSR pic so i can connect the filter to a new bob or rob (lol).

can anyone give me there number and i'll ring them up tomorrow. Hopefully its not too expensive, i mean it is only a pipe.
