hi all
i have a N reg cinq sporting with a slight bent hub on the nearside i could just replace with the same.

My question is does any other hubs fit eg punto hub fit a cinq?

i was thinking of different hub because i could then have better brakes with out hunting for uno turbo stuff and change the wheels for something with more grip easierly depending on what hubs i used.

eg. Is the punto sporting brakes better than the cinq's and would the whole hub bolt on?

i suppose it will be down to the bottom ball joint diameter and in turn can this be swopped from a punto? and would in increase (well, technically decrease) camber?

thanks
Ben

suspention is already done

I will need new wheels any one suggest any?
or what car i can get them off? i really dont mind steel wheels i'm not for the look i like speed and grip lol

i am an experienced modifier with a few cars to my name now and can handle what this little toy will give me.

so no other hubs will fit ? i will have to get a replacement cinq one then

Most tyre choice from 6J 14". Compomotive MOs are a popular choice (or have been).

15" is possible, but requires a lot more work (and will raise the gearing substantially).

4 stud (modernish) Alfa and Lancia wheels will fit (have same PCD and centre bore). Never tried it, but it should be possible to re-drill and tap hubs to suit 5 stud.

back on to the hub issue now,

i think for me i want to change the front hubs so i can upgrade brakes get some wider tyres with a wider track.
i have heard that the bottom ball joint size is why a punto sporting hub wont fit on the cinq and only guessing that punto wishbones wont fit on the cinq mounts.
does any one know if the bottom ball joints can be changed / adapted?
or even the mounts adapted so punto wishbones fit? would prob get some good chamber on them to lol

or go for a different hub from a different car?

anyone played around with this?

you don't need to change the hub to upgrade the brakes, just get some Punto GT3 calipers, pads & discs. Replace your damaged hub with an original cento hub, bolt on discs and calipers, done.

There is no need for modification at all, just 14" wheels to clear the new bigger brakes. you can pick up a set of sei abarth alloys for next to nothing now, or many other wheels.

is it punto sporting brakes fit that straight on??

when i change the wheel bearing it just seemed a very small bi of metal holding all that together i'm used to evo ones which are a tad bigger lol but thought if i can change the hubs easier to find some steels that fit them and the track of the car might be slightly wider with out going silly wheel spacers.
i got 10mm on there all ready

seporate line to hold that body roll whats best?
