Bad linkage, get the gearbox off and grease the main clutch relese shaft and all the rest of the linkage. Was the pedal very high up it's travel? If not I very much doubt your clutch is on it's way out.
I am having a similar problem myself, clutch feels tight, I should have drilled the rod whilst it was out and fitted grease mipples

hey guys thanks for the replys! sorry i havent been on in a while been so busy with work!... so a clutch is doable on my own/ with help instead of taking to a garage?

okay so i changed the clutch! it was a fairly simple job to do i used the guide on the forum and it was so much help i advise anyone attempting to replace a clutch to use that guide!!! my clutch it now alot lighter! and seems heck of a lot smoother when changing gear! thankyou everyone for your advice! also i didnt find an engine hoist necessary the box is fairly light (i could pick up in one hand (im 17) ) as long as you have someone underneath 'benchpressing' the box up and you picking it up through the engine bay its alot easier me and my freind managed to slot the box onto its main bolt in about 10 mins... i did have a bit of worry after the test drive i pulled into my dads drive and my coolant p****d out all over the floor, it was simply a loose pipe that had been leaking for a while but i never got around to fiding where the leak was coming from! so yeah thanks guys for your help!
