How many times has this topic come up, which induction kit is the best? So sorry to bring it up again but, I am so confused! The general concesus seems to be that the GSR twincone kits and CDA are the way to go. However I notice a number of people on the forum use KandN, surely they are not that bad if all these people use them. I currently have a KandN 57i on my sei mpi and its definately better than the original airbox - and I don't mean just in the noise stakes! But, is the GSR conciderably better, I need a lot of people to tell me if it is, so I make the jump and buy one. Is it worth all the extra money? I have heard about poor quality from KandN but, I clean my regularly and it seems fine so any feedback would be great. Cheers.

Gaz does the green cotton one come with a cold air feed? Also does it come with fitting instructions etc (as i have zero experience with car mechanics).

Any chance of a pic of it as i've yet to see a photo of one fitted to a sei.

cheers

I'm forking out for the GSR CDA kit now tell me i'm mad?

I don't care the K&N has served me well, but for best results it has to be said that CDA's are the way to go!
I'll miss that "i'm gonna eat you, and then i'm going to eat you all over again" K&N roar tho :(

its very easy to fit, take of old air box, replace with green filter and tighten up jubilee clip which comes with it

an oil breather filter also comes with it, along with piping and jubilee clips to fit

then route cold air feed, fasten it with cable ties supplied and away you go

there wher no bolts with this kit, although there where bolts with my uno 1.0 i.e. green induction kit which also fits the sei/cinq

yep the breather pipe was moved, not only was it drawing in the gunky type stuff that produces, it also made a mess off my leads which took ages to clean

Sorry to keep asking questions that proably seem lame.....

What exactley does the oil breather do? does this green one improve performance atall?

Also gaz...you say you had a k&n before the green.....which one sounded better/was louder. I love a bit of induction noise!!

cheers mate

im not sure what the oil breather does, but im guessing it lets the oil breath, sorry for the awful answer, but the heat build up from the oil will need to be let out of somewhere

it shouldnt think it give any performance increase, the K&N kit routes the oil breahter pipe back into the induction cone, same setup as standard airbox now

there is minimal noise difference between the two, I would choose green ahead of k&n all the time, just because with k&n when i put my foot down it didnt seem to be instant whereas the green did
