Hi guys,

Newly bought sporting abarth and have noticed a severe drift to the left. have had tracking done and into Garage who have said that it is an electrical issue. Been quoted £800 to fit new all parts (ECu, Stalk, etc) Car is not worth that much so reluctant to do that. Any ideas of a cheap fix? Can I remove the ecu for power steering and put in a manual system? Think this would be cheapest option. Any help would be appreciated as spent a lot on refurbing the wheels and paint job so dont really want to get rid.

Hi thanks for the prompt response. yeah it is centered just over compensates to the left. Any idea which fuse it is? No.10 is one I have heard mentioned. Looked at prices for ECU and new column. Is that all i would need to replace or would I have to get the ECU programmed? sorry am not very technical and all responses would be appreciated.

Its a big fat fuse in the seperate box behind the battery.

ECU doesn't need programmed, but it is most likely a problem with the torque sensor in the column rather than an ECU issue.

Follow the instructions for greasing the column, its gotta be worth a try.

Cheers

D
