 Hi all.
i have an ongoing problems with cinq 0.9s,
1.exhaust blowing new mid and tail fitted.
2.engine running rough, new spark plugs fitted fine for 5mins then cutout.
3.had ex fiat mechanic look he had engine running with injector diconnected so said new injector or fuel pressure regulator replaced both still the same.
4.towed to auto diag shop he had her for four weeks 7 diag faults electrical, no fix.
5.towed to auto electrician who said no electrical faults found old codes stored on ecu had engine running same as ex fiat mechanic.

when injector is connected its over fuelling disconnect it starts and runs smoothly on fuel in carb.:bang:

someone please help me:cry:

Yep, temperature sensor is a likely suspect.

You may find it runs fine (except when cold) with it disconnected as ECUs are usually set to assume the engine is hot if it can't see the sensor.

cheers to both of you will have a look at that, someone said it could lamdba sensor wot do you think

hi i have tried advise of unplugging temp sensor no change still not starting with injector connected need more help please:bang:

Replace the sensor. Disconnecting may or may not work. You could try disconnecting the lambda (temp sensors are much, much, cheaper).

That it runs with no injector connected (and therefore without fuel!) makes me suspect that it's running on petrol fumes from the crankcase. BTW, you have no carburettor.

hi fingers99

when i changed injector and fuel pressure reg i changed the whole of the throttle body unit inc temp sensor but will change it with new one incase the one that came with unit was faulty i can get new lamdba for about 50 notes is this a fair price:worship:

it could be the injector seal...

someone had mine out and when they put it back in they didnt seat the o-ring right and it leaked into the intake.. take the air inlet off and watch the injector when unplugged.. turn the key and see if it drips fuel..

thats what mine did. it just over fueled and ran for a bit without the injector wire connected..

cheers for that ill try the right sensor this time and will look at inj seal thanks again for all your help
