I was driving through town the other day, and a maxed up corsa pulled up next to me at the lights, followed a cop car. He seems completely unaware that the car had neons on, he followed him for a bit then turned into the cop station while the corsa rolled on.

I heard that if you cant see the element of the neons you are allowed them, so maybe it is so...

they have been doing a few people round my area for endangering public just in case the explode this is a load of crap cause they are plastic or e-marked.

i always thought the law was not to display blue, red or green cause of the various colours that they mite misrepresent

I've got a tosser with a big helmet on who wonders around my village and takes f*ck all notice when there's a crime or potential crime going on... misrepresenting the police force i think...

red is legal on the rear, coz its the same colour as a rear light, white legal on the front. ive also heard that red or amber along the sides is legal, dunno bout this but lorry's have side markers and i heard that you can use that excuse and get away with it. ****** i think!!

Makes you laugh why don't they go arrest some proper crims, they're to$$ers the lot of em! [:(!]

What about blue on the rear? i have blue l.e.ds on my exhaust, which were joined up to the main beams on the car, but ive since disconnected for fear of scary policemen.. anyone know if i can reconnect them and not live in fear?!?

fABULOUS, fEMALE aND tOTALLY fLIPPED

Police have this rule because if everyone had blue and red lights on their cars, the general public wouldn't know when a police car or an ambulance was coming because everycar would have blue flashing lights.

In principle it's a fair law, but it seems that police take it far too far. I mean, LED's around the exhaust don't exactly make you look like your average panda car.

The police will probably use neons/LED's as an opportunity to pull you over to check the rest of the car and give you a producer. So if you have them, make sure you're totally legal - not just things like MOT insurance etc, but also number plate spacing, over-dark windows etc (and hide the eighth you just scored somewhere noone will find it...)

I've got a blue neon in my front bumper and blue tyreflys.
Got pulled the other month and told to take them off, why? because they said i was impersonating a police car, to$$ers! [:(!]

yer it sure is. cops need to understand that a blue/green glow on the road from a cinq/sei DOESNT inpersonate a 3.0l vectra cop car!!!
