Hi people

I've just recently bought myself a 99 Seicento Sporting after the cambelt on my Clio decided to go and take most of the engine valves with it!

I've had a few niggles with the Sei which I've managed to sort out so far (not having the keys to the locking petrol cap being one!) but I'm at a loss with this one. :bang:

I've found that the air vents blow a mixture of hot and cold air, even when set to the 'coldest' setting. I'm getting cold air out of the far left-hand vent (passenger side) and the left-hand middle vent (on the centre console), but then warm out out of the right-hand middle vent (still on the centre console) and warm air out of the far right-hand vent (drivers side) - any knowledgeable people out there have any ideas??

Cheers

Get the car warm and then turn on the heater fan. If you get heat from all vents and then drops to just the right ones then the heater valve on the matrix is not closing fully. There is just enough energy in the coolant to heat up the first part of the matrix before the fan cools the rest.

Thanks for the responses - is there any chance that this could be a DIY fix or is it likely to be a garage job? (Bearing in mind that I don't tend to get involved in the mechanical side of things!).
