I've read up on all these engine conversions which use P75 bottom ends, with SPI heads, is it necessary?
Couldn't you just use a p60 1242 SPI engine? or does the P75 deal more power?
Am I correct in saying the P75 1242 engines are MPI, but with the 8v head on, its a SPI? CONFUSEDDD!:bang:

Sorry if I come across as dumb, I'm really really interested and eager to 'modd' my Seicento, but I'm kinda stuck on a few things,

Thanks,,

the p75 bottom end is different in having oil sprayed onto the piston skirts to help with cooling and it will become spi if u have the head off the original sporting and u also use the p75 cam and also the mid section of the tb which gives 38mm opposed to the standard 30mm.p60 uses a 32mm tb and also using the p60 thats spi as the p75 is mpi as it comes out the punto but the p75 is a stronger bottom end(y)

Just use the full P75 engine and splice the wire so u can connect 4 injectors instead of 1. And the standard cento ecu will run it fine!

What do you mean by "fine"? It will run it, period. But that is about it, "fine" is not the word I would use. Power will be far from 75-ish and the fuel will be also off (it will run unnecessarily rich).

my conversion running the cinq ecu went thru the mot emissions with near on perfect readings for 3 years so over fueling is rubbish:(

Emissions are tested in the closed loop range, when lambda is ok this is never under or overfueled unless the mapping is waaaaaaay off making lambda past its limits. We are talking about high load high power range when the ECU is in open loop and where you want your swap-power.

trust me mine flew and silly speeds were acheived on an airfield:p
i had no problems anywhere in the rev range so i still disagree with u....

I believe you fully, but ask yourself if it did everything it could... ;) ;)

Thanks everyone for replying! I haven't been on in days so it's awesome to come back to loads of helpful replies :D Cheers again! :D:worship:
