i bought this switch to turn my amp on and off and that it does fine. However it is meant to light up but i dont know how to make it - there is a third plug coming out of the switch and i am assuming that is what powers the light in the switch - but what do i plug into it? here are pics:

It is more than likely that the third connection should go directly to earth to complete the circuit for the internal light to work.

AC?! Surely a switch is a switch.. all it does is allow current to flow through.. I'm sure you can't get DC or AC switches... I think rallycinq was right in suggesting you wire the other pin to earth... I'm sure trying won't hurt... And if you do somehow manage to have an "AC" switch... then you need a DC one...
