I was thinking of taking out the spare wheel of my sei sporting. i just wondered if anyone has tried it, and does it make the car perform better? If not, i may as well just leave it in!

I don't think you'll notice a difference as its of a relativelty negligable weight. Also, what if you have a blowout? Flatmate won't help you there!

Ive taken the spare wheel out of my cinq, coz im getting 14s fitted on tues. Doesnt seem to have made a diff. It doesnt seem to have changed the handling either like some people say it can do. Hope this helps a little.

yea thats what i was worrying about!(the blowout). if it doesnt make a diff, il just leave it in..

Yep, spare wheels save lifes.... well did my dads, when he got rear ended in a mk1 fiesta years ago.... that and and the towbar which speared the engine block of the cavalier that ran into him....

If you have a huge crash in a cinq the car isnt going to stand much anyway, but i agree that the wheel will obvioulsy help a little.
