when u connect the amp power cable to the positive terminal of the battery, how do u connect it?i.e. which bit of the terminal do u attac it to?(the end of the wire is too small to go directly over the terminal)

thanks

i did that but the amp still dosent turn on - does it have to be earthed before it will turn on?

thats another problem i have lol - my HU dosent appear to have any remote socket/lead - the manual says there is one but i cant see it

heres sum pics of the back of the unit (its the JVC HU that changes color btw just in case any1 as it)

Man lead my post on amping up your sei. Its super easy i did for the first time the other week. The power cable terminal should fit nicely onto existing bolts that are attached to the positive terminal. For grounding your amp there will be a bolt in the boot just under the carpet to the right of centre.

The Remote turn on seems strange on your HU, normally you have a cable from the back which can be used to turn on your amp where it be a power anntena or proper Remote turn on cable. Have your pluged your head unit straight from the cars connectors, if so it could be a problem. What you'll have to do if this is the case is somehow hook up the remote turn on lead to the switched turn on lead ( i.e red)

See this is why you should use a ISO cable makes life so easy.

k looking at my head unit i think i do have an ISO connector - plug with lots of wires coming out of it - can i just plug the remote wire into that?

could i use a terminal block instead?i.e. cut the power cable and put one end in the terminal block and the other end of the power cable in the other along with the remote wire?
