Hi.

doing a 16v wiring for a sei. all the colours are different to the cinqs and there seems to be more wires in the d4.

its a 2000 plate sei mk1.

ANY help on how to wire the d4 would be brill.

His D4 is completely different to cinq sporting D4 :(.

For example it is missing pin2 on the set D4 compared to the cinq D4 and that is for the fuel pump...

so any wiring diagram would be great!

ive not got it with me but it has alot more wires than any cinq d4 ive seen.

has big fat wires (green/white) where cinqs dont and no blue/white for revs like the cinq.

ill be more specific when i get back to it but has alot more wires than a cinq iirc

has a big pink too in pin 1 where cinq is orange iirc

I have wiring diagrams for both. I'll have to dig then out though.

The colours will typically follow through to the sensor/component.

Can you list the positions and colours (and relative size of the wire) on the sei D4 side and the punot D4 side.

If you can identify any of the colours near to connecotrs so much the better.

Should be pretty simple to sort though :)

i can post pins if needed???

one last thing.

in all the cinq wiring threads it mentions a bullet connector under the battery tray for switched live...

obviously the seicento does not have this... what do i use or do instead of????

Started typing it, but Post 38 should match up exactly. There are 2 pink/black that are reverse lights too if you cut them like i did.

Please say your doing it properly and not putting the key behind the dash. Really hate that idea. Its only £40 to have the key matched to ECU and code box. haha

Punto red goes to starter motor.

Red/black is permanent live and can go direct to battery with thick ish fused cable

I would love to have said my experience is as good as yours with reddy ... my one never worked ... and am still waiting for the refund which he promised .....

Can someone look at page 42 of that and tell me how to tell what colour are the wires? It is just in short hand like "S" "SN" "SR" but there isn't any explanations at the bottom telling which is which colour ....

That was in the 'Introduction' PDF on the disc in the same section :)

You use the punto fuel pump relay that is attached to the punto loom.

What other wires are you stuck with as you should be able to get the car running with about 5 wires connected, then get all the warnings etc done afterwards.
