Jobs ......

....off sick again today. Fed up of being sat in the house so I'm off outside
to fit Charlie's new seatbelts. Also need to change the front door cards and
remove the window winder handles. If I don't take my eye out with that
silly little clip, I'll be back later !!! lol

Re: Jobs ......

Squeeze a rag between door handle & card & pull it through, the rag catches the clip & pulls it out,5 seconds

Re: Jobs ......

Gaz use grafitti remover on the brickwork, or a bucket load of elbow grease!
I think you can use nail varnish remover, if not you'll just have to scrub/pick it off.

If you paint the rest of the wall blue, you'd have to carry on and paint the other walls, then the whole house, then next door's cat!

Re: Jobs ......

What a pain in the arse. Only managed to change both front door cards.

Of course, all the little clip things that were on the new ones were a
different size to the ones on the old ones !!!

Had to change everyone of them and my fingers hurt now !!!!

Couldn't get the winder clips off using a rag so had to use 2 screwdrivers.
Bit fiddly but got there in the end.

Tired now Need a lie down.

Going to leave the seatbelts until tomorrow cos not got the energy today.
Might have a go later at removing the dubious white stains from the rear
seat !!! lol

Re: Jobs ......

I suspect they're the same. Couldn't work out why new cards wouldn't go on
to start with, then noticed new ones were shorter than the originals !!!

Yes, fingers are very sore now despite using a rag on some of them. And also
noticed that the cards should be stuck round the edges to they don't gape but
was losing the will to live and couldn't be bothered taking them off to start
again !!! lol

High as a kite?? Blimey. I thought they had taken all the nasty stuff out of pain
these days ?? Bit like permanent marker pens.....they're no fun anymore now
they've taken all the pongy stuff out of them !!!

Re: Jobs ......

what colour rag were you using?

Seriously see where the open end is,squeeze rag in there & pull it around the winder(practise makes perfect)stops marking the winder & putting hole in card when screwdriver slips.Alternatively use a 270 degree hook like you get from Mac tools/Snap on and hook it out(and watch it fly away!)bit expensive though 6

Re: Jobs ......

Ahh must have been the wrong coloured rag then !!!

Now I know which way round the clip goes it will be easier if I need to take
them off again. Having not done it before, I had no idea what it looked like
inside. I know now though
