How does a Lupo GTi compare to a Sei Sporting? I expect it to be thirstier and higher insurance and generally quicker but hows the general handling, comfort etc? Anyone know?

Good car, in a different league to the sei, much more refined and the 1.4 is a little rocket, also hold their value

But are dear to buy especially for a good straight standard example

1.4 16v sport, and the 1.6 16v GTI.

Nice cars, but my friend has spent quite a bit on his just keeping it running. New gearbox, replacement pedal box (apparently a silent recall), starter motor, drink oil quicker just as quickas the fiat 1.4 16v engines, and apparently it is slowly developing a fault with the sensors.

Maybe just a dud he bought but i've got to be honest, they are nice cars despite going by some of his history.

EDIT: Forgot to mention they get a bit tappy on the top end, doesn't matter what you do it always comes back. One of those things you just have to live with :D.

Thanks

X

The general expense is the main thing putting me off tbh, at least Fiats are cheap to run and cheap to fix when they go wrong.

I think I'll just follow ming's advice and 1242 the Sei instead ;)

@foggy89 - I did look at the Arosa when I wanted the 1.4tdi but my mileage doesn't warrant a diesel, and SEAT never did a GTi equivalent.

you could always buy a standard 1.0 Lupo and then do this
