Went driving down the local lanes a few evenings back with a friend who drives a punto mk2B.

My headlights were absolutely woefull compared to his,i know when i had my mx5 you could buy better bulbs,is it the same for a cinq?I dont want HIDs or anything as im guessing theyd just blind other drivers and we all know how much of a pain that is.

Just some bulbs i can drop in would be good.

Not higher wattage unless you want to relay them.

You can get better quality bulbs of 55 watt rating.

make sure the reflectors in the lamps are clean. No pint in changing bulbs if the reflectors are tarnished.

Cheers

make sure the level is spot on. even if they are a couple of degrees down they will be crap...

way to set them up is find standard car in a car park and with your car about 2 cento lengths away from it park directly behind.

then adjust the lights so the dip beam is level with the bottom of cars rear number plate (number plate helps as its highly reflective)

I did this to mine after i fixed the broken adjuster inside. planned to get it better when I had my mot last week but when i checked on the machine it couldnt of been more perfect :)

Cheers Craig, something for me to do tomorrow evening!New bulbs, cleaner reflector and adjustment of the lights should make for a good improvement!

when i got my cinq, i put in some cheap 100/110w ebay bulbs
they were better but still poo

so i bought some night breakers 50/60w i think
and they were and still are brilliant

Buy them if you want good cheap bulbs
