where the bloody hell is
is there a breather for the petrol tank?
more to the point, for the funnel where u put the punp into?

basically i think mine is blocked if there is one or sumthin similar.

when filling up i have to go painfully slow or the petrol seems to froth an shoot back up the neck towards the pump, which in turn cause the pump to switch off.

i have to go well slow filling up and the most i have gotten in is £19 before the actual pump shuts off!!!

any ideas?

Hi,
If you take the rear wheel arch liner out you can see the breather valve at the top of the filler neck, should be easy to blow through one way but hard to blow through the other, think it should be easy to blow air towards the cap and hard to blow air back to the tank......I could be wrong though..

Thanks

Yes and no, this is a breather valve but it's to stop damage from excess pressure on the move - you need to blow quite hard to get it to lift, but it will suck air in relatively easily.

There's a hose from the back of the filler neck to the very top of the tank - could be this is kinked (or less likely blocked).
