Can anybody tell me if headlights from a L reg cinquecento (light grey plastic) will fit and work on my 1998 cinquecento sporting? I realise the beam adjusters won't work cause the basic cinq doesn't have the electronics. Don't fancy spending 130 quid on two new sporting headlamps when I can get 2 basic ones for 20quid 2nd hand and I'll probably be selling my car soon anyway.

Yes.

On the new ones, check that the vertical adjusters are ok, they usually fall apart inside.

The grey ones have a extruding plastic bit that just clears the timing cover on the 1108 but reving the engine creates contact and it begins to rub, cut of the offender using a hacksaw and you laughing.

Oh uh didnt realise that, better check my modded ones, i guess it cant be good.

Yeah Dan thats it!! I thought the same as you when I first noticed it, 5 mins with a hacksaw will cure it though.

10 seconds with a hacksaw. lol All clean. I managed to change one of my hoses at the same time to a red one. The coolant one. LMAO. I forgot to get something to block the hole with and got it all over me, the engine...

the rubber boot that keeps crap outta the headlight is bigger on the grey headlights too, so try to get hold of one of those too
