Rear strut brace.

After removing the rear seats from my cinq ive noticed the back end is a little bit looser.

I noticed a company on ebay selling interior rear strut braces for mk1 puntos for 15 and so ive asked them if they can put together one for the cinq for the same sort of money.
I realise anyone with some welding skill could knock one up but for 15 whos gonna complain.

This is the company...

For 15 is a bargain. I mean if you are in the trade then you will mate steel bar cheap .... but be hard to beat if ur not.

Measure the gap. quite a few universal ones are a perfect fit. Bought one for mine about 5 and was a nice tight fit.

Re: Rear strut brace.

to be honest i would prefer just a top mount, perhaps you could ask if they could do maybe just a top mount brace, just a bottom mount brace, or a X brace?

that way there are 3 different options and people can mix and match...
so the hardcore drivers can get the big X, but people like me who might consider putting the rear seats back in can just have the top mount, for example.

im sure they would do it if they got enough interest, and im sure there are many people on here that would willingly buy one.

Re: Rear strut brace.

If is X brace then is best to use top seat belt mounting point and the bottom seat belt mounting point just below the seat.

am hoping to get my friend to make it shortly .
