Today I ran my cinq 1.2 8v 80hp down the highway.
With a couple of friends I hit 190Km/h.
After driving it further at 150Km/h the battery suddenly came on.
Also the lights went out, only city light stayed on.
Power was gone.

Engine kept running but no power when hitting the throttle.

After slowing down the battery light went off, lights came back on and power was back.
Happend 1 more time after that in the same trip.

I could'nt explain this
Anyone has an idea of the cause?

ZA possibility is that the alternator partially seized.

Wear in the alternator brushes/bushes?

When it happend it seemed to be rev related.
Pushed in the cluch so the engine went back to 800rpm.
Light went off.
Rev it to 5000rpm and light came on.

I got an alternator somewhere so I'm gonna place it sometime this week.
