HI dont know if any1 can help me i was driving my r reg seicento sx yesterday she wouldnt pick up speed and then lost all power and wont start with a bump start a jump start nothing.............the car turns over just wont start and not sparking either i have no manual for the car and dont know what the dashboard lights mean i have brought a new battery its had coils changed and the brain changed and still nothing please help

Thats a huge leap of faith changing the brain. I presume you mean ECU. Did you get all the matching gubbins to go with the other ECU, if not, put the old one back on.

SPi ECUs are pretty bulletproof.

Do the diagnostics, but it is pointing to crank sensor as suggested.

hi the petrol is getting to the engine has far has we can tell we are putin the old ecu back in tomorrow and just hoping now the codes will b ok......where would you find the crank sensor plz and where can i buy 1 from plz thanks...

How do you know fuel is getting to the engine, are the plugs wet?

ECU is hardware coded so should be OK to put the old one back in.

Crank sensor points at the toothed wheel at the end of the crank.

Local factor should stock, but if not shop4parts or fluffy will do mail order.

we was just kinda guessing has u can really smell the petrol while some1 is starting the car but he going to check properly later we are trying to get a tdc sensor this morning he will try and fit that after he puts the old ecu back on......the day the car stopped working i said to my husband its not running right there was a light on the dash which was like a gun off the hose pipe with what looks like water coming out any ideads what that is plz thanks for all your help

Is the gun on the hose a petrol bowser?No fuel
 
ok thanks for that i never knew what it was and no-one else seemed to know either........we put the old ecu back in and the code light is ok now.....i pick up the new tdc sensor tomoz and my husband is going to fit it hope this sorts the prob thanks for all ur help if there is anything else any1 can think of what else could cause the prob would b great thanks

Thats the handbook, will tell you about operating the vehicle.

You'll get the tech manuals if you go up one from there.

However, on an 899, Its one bolt and it pops out. Do not be tempted to remove the bracket from the block. If those bolts shear you are in deep doodoo.

Hi again my husband has just changed sensor still nothing petrol is def getting through checked earths today and evrything ok has anybody got any other ideas please help thanks rallycinq for all ur help
 
someone has just suggested that the head gasket might have gone or the engine has ceased up would that cause all the probs that i have had
