Anyone on here in the southeast good with there filler? i need some help making my smoothing job perfect heh... ive dont the bulk of the job and its acceptable but its still not perfectly smooth.

im willing to pay (obviously) for someone to finish it really well, i just dont wanna get a body shop to do it cause i dont wanna be charged over the odds heh.

you need some stopper/topper a very fine filler used for a top coat on filled surfaces. cant find my tube so cant give you its name but if you go to a pannel n paint motor factors they should be able to give you the right stuff.

Its called stopper as dave saids or Kniffing putty if its a really old brand and it is good sometimes i personally dont use it much as it takes ages to dry and can peel off if not rough enough.

Keep at it yourself bushboy from what ive seen in pics you good at it and it would be a shame to let someone else have the credit of finnishing it

i'll have to find my stopper an get its propper name it hardens in about a minuet

if its the stuff that hardens in minute then it can cause major sinkage when painting over it as it is very rich in hardener which absorbs paint so when you paint over it you see the outline of the repair

thats the problem im getting... u can see the outline but cant feel it when you run ur hand over etc.

i mix the filler so it takes about 15 mins to dry. too much?
