Hi all,

My Daughter has recently passed her test and bought a 900cc Siecento (2000 W plate) and the gearbox ran dry and is knackered!!

I sourced one from a breakers yard (online) yesterday, but I am concerned because another breaker came back to me today and when I said I had ordered one he said did I definitely have the right one, becauser there are two types, splined and bolting. The car does have 4 bolts to connect it to the drive shaft, so I assumed bolting, but he said that both sorts have bolts......I have to be honest Im lost!!!

Could anyone clarify this or put my mind at rest at least that I have bought the right box!!

Cheers
Corey

the only 2 types of 900cc gearbox i can think of is a dry box or a wet box i dont have a clue what the splined and bolting boxes are but hay someone will be along soon :)

All 899 engines have C526 wet type box's fitted to Cinqs/Seicentos.
The 1100 MPI Seicentos have the C526 box's fitted to the SX range.
All sporting models will/should have the C514 dry type fitted to Cinq/Seicentos.
