So my battery was dead,and its not too easy to get someone to come and jump start it for me,so i bought a device that charges your battery from this 12v battery that plugs into your cars cigarette lighter socket.So i gave it a bash,went to start my car after,suddenly,panic!!My code light came on amber,my driver door wouldnt open from either side,it was flashing and saying FPS ON also.After a while the code light has now went out and my door now opens,but FPS ON is still there.I think i need to reset the fuel cut off button?But i cannot find it ANYWHEREEEE at all :-( Help needed thanks!.x

hey,yeh i have read the manual but it is not detailed AT ALL. To be honest it looks like its pointing to the cd player!Therefor...Cannot find it :-(
It's behind the cd player, attached to the bulkhead by a bracket
well it should stand out put the seat all the way back and get your head under
Nothing is standing out,i have looked right under.Can no one be more deatiled on where this is and what it looks like?

if its an MPI its on the bulkhead inline with the center consoul, the buttons on the top, if its an SPI, I think its on the bulkhead in th eengine bay, but someone with an SPI will be able to say for sure

this probably means the fuel cut off hasnt been set off

yep thats it.
inside theres a big spring with a ball bearing in top, if its been tripped you'll be able to feel it "click" into place, also on the MPI's is shows EFS (or something) flashing where the miles is. if you cant press it down its not gone off, you can take it off and bypass it so you know for sure tho.

take it off and stick a wire onto the 2 plugs, it will bypass it, you should be able to get one from the scrappys if its bugered for a quid or 2

Ok i have nooooo idea what your talking about haha.This is my first car and i am still doing lessons!I am clueless!I just wana know how to get my car started and why its sayin FPS ON if it wont let me press the button.My driver door has went back to not opening but the code light hasnt came back on.All because i was charging my car with this stupid in car charger!Grrr!
